“Data is the new oil” is often rightly claimed. Personal data have become valuable economic assets and are the basis of more and more business models. Accordingly, the requirements for data protection and data security are becoming increasingly more stringent.
We support companies in setting up and further developing data protection compliance management systems in connection with Swiss data protection law and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In doing so, we conduct due diligence reviews and investigations (audits) with regard to data protection compliance and we advise our clients with regard to their data protection organization and the design of internal directives, data protection processes, privacy statements, consents and data protection contracts, as well as on cross-border data transfers and outsourcing. In addition, we support our clients in the assessment of new products, business models and digitization projects, in dealing with data subject rights, and in the event of data loss and security breaches. To ensure that our clients are continuously informed, we also offer training for internal data protection officers and other concerned employee groups.
We advise and represent our clients in proceedings before courts and authorities concerning data protection and privacy claims.
